Glorious Saturday at Victorious Festival

2 min read

After a complete wash out on Friday the sun was shining for a more entertaining Saturday at Victorious in Southsea.

I made my way to the Castle Stage at 2.30pm  hoping to be able to get right in front of the barriers so i could see and photograph the band for the rest of the day, as it happens i was in luck and i with my assistant trainee set up camp and stayed put until the end of the performances which was well gone past 11pm.

We were just in time for our first act who were called ‘PINS’ this was an all female group they were not half bad we got plenty of photos and the sun was still shining.

At the Castle stage we were treated to some unusual names for bands as the next ne on stage was Cabbage followed by Coasts then my favourite band of the day. The Pigeon Detectives i had never heard of them before nor did i know what to expect and they did not disappoint at all, the music was great and the lead singer was comical as well, a real treat to watch.

Billy Bragg followed he was ok but not my cup of tea you can’t have it all i suppose, Everything Everything came on after Billy Bragg again a strange name for a band but nevertheless very good.

Next on stage was the star of the night Paloma Faith, to be honest i was disappointed a bit but the songs were ok but she had little stage presence all in all to sum up the day it was truly amazing the crowds had a lot of fun and i am looking forward to next year.
