Hampshire FA Seeking Equality Champions to Join Inclusion Advisory Group
2 min readHampshire FA is seeking Equality Champions to join our Inclusion Advisory Group and to represent your community in helping shape equitable football delivery across the county.
In 2014, Hampshire FA established the group and after three successful years we are looking to refresh our membership to ensure that it continues to be representative of the community we service. The role of the IAG is to achieve the following through the delivery of an Inclusion Action Plan owned by the group;
- Provide expert advice, guidance and recommendations to the Hampshire FA Board
- Check and challenge the work Hampshire FA does
- Embed good practice into Hampshire FA delivery
- Ensure the Hampshire community receives fair and accessible football opportunities/services
If you would like the opportunity to champion the cause of one or more of the communities listed below please review the relevant profiles on HampshireFA.com and complete an expression of interest prior to the 30thNovember 2017. After the closing date, shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange informal telephone/face to face interviews before final selections are made.
We are looking for Equality Champions to represent the following groups:
- People aged 55+
- Young people
- Females
- Black and minority ethnic groups
- People with disabilities
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender
The minimum requirement is to attend four meetings per year and contribute to positive discussions with ad hoc additional events relevant to your expertise as required. If you are interested in being a part of the discussion but not able to engage with this level of commitment we are also looking Community and Equality Stakeholders to engage in insight gathering activities from time to time (see role profiles on HampshireFA.com), if you would prefer to be involved in this way please complete the Expression of Interest form and we will add you to the distribution list to receive relevant communications.
